This very interesting report describes the family of EDWARD ROSSITER and his wife ELIZABETH (ne้ QUICK) of Somerset, and what befell their six children when they were orphaned at an early age.

Two of the boys (EDWARD JAMES and CHARLES ROSSITER) were raised by their uncle GEORGE CLIST and his wife MARY (ne้ QUICK), my great-grandparents. EDWARD JAMES ROSSITER had a very close bond with his Uncle and Aunt. He worked for his Uncle for many years and later took over GEORGE CLIST's blacksmithing business and "The Forge", the associated cottage where my great-grandparents first lived and which was home to my grandfather SIDNEY GEORGE CLIST until he emigrated to New Zealand in 1910.

Descendants of Edward and Elizabeth Rossiter are numerous, and now live in England, Scotland, Australia and New Zealand.

Freda's story is well written and easy to read. Some portions are withheld, to respect the privacy of living persons.
